Phase 2 ... ... more or less how it works ...

In the previous post I made a small step forward, telling a story that is actually quite recent, but it was already there, ready-only copy and paste and for a moment I could not resist my proverbial laziness.

But now, with a great leap backwards, back to 99 ... ... is more or less well in other words, the beginning of "Phase 2". Basically, just to make a brief summary, the proposed IFC (Independent Photographers Association, that I, Paul and Andrew), is to bring the studio where the studio is not there. In general, the furniture companies have huge space and can easily dedicate a "small" portion (up from 200 square meters) to take pictures of their products.

Our work starts from here, from the identification of the space to be allocated and the best advice on how to organize and set up to ensure that we can work in the best possible way. Some of the key features are: a more regular as possible, a square or rectangle with no columns and "obstacles" like, high at least 4 meters, preferably 5.

This is because the shape and size of the stands are highly variable and different every time, even a simple backbone could become an impediment to the construction of the stands and positioning of lights.

A key thing in photography (not just the furniture) is that the machine and the lights should be placed wherever you want, where you can not.

Once you find the space, give directions on how to make it functional for our needs ... and here begins the first pain. Usually we give guidance on how and what materials to the darkening of the area and we needed to build the walls to light up or make from the bottom of the windows, which are generally of enormous size, and you should therefore do simple solid fir skeleton covered with coarse cotton cloth which is then painted already ... and here the problems begin.

Although the savings is not the main spring that moves the customer to make a choice like that, it's not clear why instead of spending a few euro to buy the materials suggested by us, who prefer to use the materials at home . In essence, a furniture company are all with huge and heavy particle board, if we were in engineering companies would use steel plates 1 cm thick. The same applies to the construction. From the size and precise indications on methods that everyone (most or not) follow the letter could make a stand. Prefer to rely on companies that arrange the space in trade fairs, with the result that you find a stand that instead of being modular and easily editable is a solid concrete house and what is worse, with walls and ceilings ending exactly where does the furniture, not to mention the prospect, the more dimensions are needed.

For example, once asked the architect a wall of 2.5 x 2 m back to serve as a bed that remained free in the middle of the room. A wall like this, made with our criteria, a person raises and moves alone. They'd built drum (frame internal coating on both sides) with moraletti 10x10 cm sheets of chipboard and 11mm, with the result that we had to be to move in 4 people who kept in balance, while a fifth was maneuvering the forklift was needed to lift it.

The first job of the "team" at that time boasted the Maurice and Renato (here at the time which is also to him that he had closed the shop and opened a studio in partnership with Mauritius) in place of Andrea, who replaced them a couple of years later, as the mobile was not their specialty, comes in between 99 and 2000 for a customer to Reggio Emilia for the relaunch of his company had to redo the entire image. Commissioned agency in Milan, with whom I already worked entrusted the job.

A couple of preliminary meetings to know the client and discuss the style of catalogs, one for the presentation of the project architect, with a team of editors who would be mandated to set up scenes and fit kitchens, led by a former foreman retired but very experienced, that the first meeting we said, "tell me what you need I know how to do it."

These are the people who most fear of those who believe that setting up a booth for the photos is the same thing set up for a fair or an exhibition hall. Not really ... not at all like that. Many think that even where he is a piece of furniture can also make him the photo: we say that are more or less 2 / 3 meters around each open side of the stand, 4 / 5 on the side where you will make the main frame.

few days before starting work, as we were passing to go to a meeting near Venice photo, we deviate and make a leap in the company proceeded to check how the preparations. All suspected as walls, floors and ceilings ended exactly 1 cm out of the kitchen, they even cut all the floor tiles at 45 ° to "finish" better.

We go to the customer to reaffirm, as we did this in the technical, which would have missed so huge slices of image and absolutely everything was extended by at least 1 meter on each side, at least 2 per floor and ceiling. Result: The "boss" was offended hearing questioning his experience and expertise, put gun and badge (meter and screwdriver) on the table and disappeared forever from circulation :-))))

We set up on September 3 with 3 kitchens mounted, confirming our arrival for the following Monday, but it was urgent to replace the assembly team. They came for the purpose of the "fearless" young people who we nicknamed "the Vasco Rossi," since (the accent helped) always seemed perpetually a bit 'facts and a bit' drunk, turned a pace that seems a sloth in comparison Bolt (the sprinter, not degreaser) and we always had to go and look in 6.000 square meters of warehouse that we had to work.

I think working in that place from early November until just before Christmas. It was an old store temporarily empty, unheated, work clothes to be deep, with the hands when removing gloves for loading the slabs (we were not in the digital age) and had to take the time to fit them into the bag-darkroom were already frozen and unresponsive . But so delicate an operation that takes a few minutes so it turned into a titanic undertaking. Every now and then a break between parts of the headlights to warm up a bit 'but other emergencies to 16 generally stopped working because just walking (and furnishing walking time) became a pain in the cold that cut his face, only relief possible, the hot shower of the hotel.

To give you an idea of the cold, think that one day at lunch, Renato took a hot soup to warm up, with the result that, eating in a hurry and leaving the restaurant with a sudden change in temperature of about thirty degrees, pecked intestinal blockage and had a beautiful immediately accompany him back to the hotel the evening a dinner was not even :-)))

The dinner is usually the best time, you can relax a bit 'not having the thought of going back to job ... but just a little ', then to bed to be back on track the next morning at 7. When working out in general so, you never get time and want a ride or just go to drink something in the evening ... you're there, you only think about work and work.

As collection of images, I refer you to a "slide" that tells a little 'all stages of a typical business trip: travel, work, breakfast lunch dinner etc .... Here we were in Italy in the showroom of the customer, not in an area specifically designed for photos, so there is little scenery. The shots were for a pre-catalog.

Anyway ... these are a few examples of the result

Falling in Milan

Since we left saying to you that I would tell stories, I remembered that I had a recently published 20.04.2008 on Myspace, so ... copy and paste.
Although it may seem absurd, I swear to you, what you see is all true ... unfortunately.
And in these cases I always think of those "What do you do, the photographer?" Blessed are you ... simply click ... "

I'll be brief ... or at least try to be ...

3 Customers ask me to create a service within their stands is proud to Salone del Mobile in Milan. How do I apply for permission to practice for what to do, with as time from 18 (closing fair) to 24 (and already I was expecting that it was not granted, as previously closed cabin and barrel to 22.30).

Meanwhile involving other three colleagues, aware of the limited time available, given that each customer had to be done in 3 kitchens "form catalog. Customers receive the fax confirmation of permits but, as expected, are granted to all and 3 (mind you) up to 23.

We jump to 15, the day before the inauguration and therefore the service to achieve.

Arrive in Milan and in the afternoon I go to the fair to withdraw the original permits and handle all the red tape for entry to the halls of our cars, and already here starts the bounce from office to office of the Centre Services Cosmit before finding one that had the original permit and I hear you ask:

- "But the driving force for permission to have it?"

- and I ... "Excuse me, but what is this?"

 • "Permission to do the photo shoot, but at 18.30 the exhibition closes doors and turn off the electricity ...

 • "And according to the photos without her I like the current do ?!!?"

 • "Go to the halls 22-24 SATE"

After I had already done half the fair walk (which is very much like Lampedusa), the division and I do the other half for SATE find the blessed and I take this opportunity to go inside the halls to meet the architect who tells me he needs the work.

therefore come to the Sate make me permission to enter the car and, while I'm out, the nice lady calls me back and I am "But the permit for power there has it? "you can imagine my face and my arms (and more) and roll fall to the ground? Monster gentle lady to the stack of paper that I had previously issued Service Centre Cosmit and she assures me that those are okay!

At that point, after almost four hours, I can relax at the bar next door and order the sacrifice of the most beautiful and fat kid (figurative of course, since I tend to almost vegetarian) to celebrate ' event.

We skip the queue and a half hours to make the 15 miles that separate the fair from my point of support, we omit also the hour and a half that the next day I had to go to the station to take My colleague Maurizio, who arrived by train and time to go from the station to fair and go directly to the port CARGO 1 to 16 and, finally, the safety officer-input-enabled after it passes the simple test of my plate and we hope "GOOD JOB".

short survey to illustrate what to do in Mauritius on 17 and back to the cargo door to give permission to enter to Andrea and Paul, just arrived with maxy-van with the rest of tons of equipment. Another survey, sandwich, coffee, and we are ready for battle.

downloaded and begun to work as soon as the last stragglers visitors have left the halls.

In silence almost unreal compared to a few hours before, we remain in the company of other colleagues who, like us are busy in their areas and armed guards of the security service at night. Everything seems smooth and well, in my work around the set and check that everything is as it should in the other two.

At 22.30 the first customer is satisfied, the second being completed and the third at three-quarters of the work. I lit the last two kitchens are going to take, checking work with my Canon ... okay, expect Andrew to finish and bring me back. I urge others by telephone, since the 23 are close, but Paul reassured me that the guards told him that "You can safely leave when you have finished, "But you just have to put on the easel back, frame e. .. TOTAL DARKNESS !!!!!!!!

At 23.10 the little pavilion 24 rushes in the dark, only the screen of my pc sends a faint light that allows me to move on the stand and get out to see what's going on in the light of the emergency lights.

Andrea notice to accelerate, since the alleged time of the fateful release of driving force seems to have arrived. Paul is talking with the security officers that he had been told that we could easily end up calling the electrician on duty that comes after a few minutes.

Dude, ciclomunito, (did not ski ...) now shows arrogant, which I try to fight with all the calm that anyone who knows me knows how to be my main gift. But after nearly 40 minutes of useless supplications, prayers, and appeals to the understanding of who is there to work on others who come from a distance of 450km with mountains of equipment, looks a bit ', work, losing a bit of calm and with my words less educated of these, I try to make him understand that his stubbornness in not afford a quarter of an hour of electricity (which would have formalized the next morning to the sate for the charge to the customer), we meant to take home an unfinished work, of course that the customer would not pay, but not only, with the risk that the customer, unhappy with the service, you definitely lose.

There was nothing to do ... 45 minutes of the proceedings, with 15 current avoidable. If the restaurant is at a fixed price including a glass of water and ask me another mica deny it! Maybe because they charge me around the room but they give me. Rather than "dying of thirst, would gladly pay more than the actual value (and already 100 € per hour for power 3kw not seem to me a few!)

In essence we are alone with the 3 agents of the Security, dismayed they also examined the behavior of so-and the various options. The first that comes to mind is disassemble and load everything and it was no longer remain inside the hall and take the light as soon as he returned the next morning and immediately remove the tents, but the guards we have categorically ruled out that it was possible.

The other, the only possible, leave in the closet of the customer only needed to finish the day after work. And we've done, but it was possible for only one to stay because we were not able to find a hotel open to Piacenza.

The choice was almost inevitable, given that we had to argue with Tom passed midnight and then the car Paul was a prisoner of parking outside of the fair.

At 3, after freeing the booth and loaded the van with Andrea, Andrea, and Maurizio party led at home, me and Paul in Corby where there would be "camping out" in anticipation of 7, at which time we left at a time the fair, with the unknown of what we would have expected.

The only certainty, yet another queue senzasoluzionedicontinuità that allowed us to be the parking lot west of the entrance to 8.52. Initial information and tell us we must go directly to the SATE, East Gate (at the other end of the island) without crossing the CSC

I go to the cashier with the parking ticket at 9.12 ... € 10.00 PLEASE PAY writes the display. He looked toward the ATAC officer present on the platform that says "The money must be inserted into the slot next to" chanting as if I were an Eskimo could not understand the language "-I know-but I say 10 € for 20 minutes not seem to stop a bit 'too much ???!!!???" He said, "There is no one to stop a 20-minute show-him-replica, from 0 to 4 hours costs 10 euros"

"It is not even expected that a car could be wrong? Everything runs in the busy Milan so smooth? time cost so dear? "And then I send the bill to those for the 7 hours I spent in the queue for the road?" Obviously it is a struggle between the poor for the squat of bread ... is not he say these things, but who wants us to believe that this way of life is not only the only possible, but it is also fair and beautiful.

With these considerations, I headed to the east with the knowledge that I had to pay another € 10.00 for 20 more minutes of rest.

We try to figure out how to get SATE obtaining information from the various reception, up to the last gate, where a controller hangs there saying we can not access that area without a ticket ........... .?????????? that ????????? I pay the ticket office where you need to get permission to access freely at the fair? I have to pay a ticket to go and ask not to pay the ticket? But we are confident that by 3 days I'm not on candid camera ????? In the end, showing once again the permissions of the previous day, explaining for the umpteenth time what had happened, he feels compassion for the employee and makes us go.

15 minutes later we are already back on their way to the car I had parked close to that of Paul stopped there the day before. We go to the cash, I pay my 10 for the usual 20 minutes a little more, 15 for him almost a whole day ... okay, forget it.

Once the car (ground floor, the only case on the second floor), seeking permission to hold at your fingertips ... and it shall not find it. I empty my bag, I "raided" at the bottom ... nothing! Redo the way back, I descended the stairs where we are, Paul to the elevator with which we went e. .. was there. Way before the coupon runs out and we had to pay back the rest.

Finally we arrived at the door of the pavilion, we explain what happened to the customer, who twisted a bit 'mouth let us finish our work, having to light up again, compared to one quarter of an hour that we spent the evening first, with the visitors that "disturbed" and who were causing trouble, it took us about 2 hours.

But in the end, good or evil, despite all the work we brought home.

That's what counts. But Milan does not bring me some good ... every time I go to work on some problems I see him always, like the time scale to which the comedian ... and maybe sooner or later I will tell you ;-)

Ap Biology Lab 6 Answers Examples

profession ... 2.0 ...

And so here we are ... January 1, 1999, VAT and starts my new life. In fact for the first year little changed, because for various reasons still to be continued in force in the study:

-Essentially it was because I was asked to train my "inheritance", ie make Fred (assistant second photographer) who now worked with us for 3 or 4 years to become self-sufficient, aided by Francis, hired as an assistant, and Lawrence (son of majority shareholder) to take the reins of the study on the organizational / administrative staff, all roles that I covered up at that time.

-And the other reason was because I decided to implement a non-competitive line. Basically I asked myself as a collaborator of studies and as a photographer "door to door" for clients of furniture. You would think that there is an obvious contradiction, but not so in reality.

There is a slice of customers who for various reasons does not go into the studio to make their own catalogs, but prefer to gear up in "home" of its own: either by organization (prepare upload, post, and send staff to the assembly, for small business is an economic cost and high energy), or for confidentiality (this applies to larger companies that have innovative models on their project and do not want the competition to see their new products before they leave the market). In short, I addressed and I appeal to those customers who would not be of the studies, therefore not in competition. And ultimately the study does not gorge that type of clientele here for several reasons.

The study itself is usually not "organized" and has no interest in working outdoors and I try to explain why studies that work furnishings are almost fully equipped with continuous light, even for reasons of cost. They work in many sectors simultaneously, so it takes dozens if not hundreds of points of light: a light flash costs an average of 8 / 10 times as a continuous light, say an average of 300 against € 2,500 per piece. Outdoor work with continuous light means to equip the customer with lines even up to 20 kw and create large areas of complete darkness. Working in flash is adequate but a smaller screen, even temporarily, and a power line equal to or slightly higher than the housewife.

Another reason is the specific costs of the service: a photographic study of furniture is actually an industry that has dozens of employees, huge spaces and substantial investments in equipment. So has an interest in making it work. Quick example to understand this better: every morning that the study opens the door, and although costs milgiaia of photographer and art buyers go outside, joiners fitters are also in the studio working, the rent still has to be paid, equipment and spaces that do not work still have a cost and this must then be loaded on the service even if done outside the studio, so it is often found to be "off market". I think it's clear why so we prefer that the client to go into the studio rather than the other

Get back to us, to 01.01.1999, together with Paul (here he reappears, although in reality it is never gone ) and Andrew, our other colleague, we decided to give us a form of team, joining forces, ideas and equipment for big jobs of furniture but preserving their independence and their customers in other sectors. We bought all equipment of the same brand, compatible, integrated and interchangeable so as to be able to cope with the work of any size, each spending a reasonable figure. Organizationally, the fact that in all three at the same level of experience, enables us to not give up their jobs. A catalog of furniture can take up to months of almost constant engagement, they manage to normal in 2, one is free to treat their commitments or to replace one of the other for a few days if he had an urgent commitment during processing of the catalog.

This, coupled with twenty years experience each in the field, complete equipment and offering advice on how that part already create the right space to work in a more functional and economic, means that the quality we offer is exactly that which would be in the studio, without having to pay the costs of a structure which is not benefiting.

This thing worked and it works, we hope to continue to operate. ;-)

It also hoping not to have too bored with these "technical explanations" for now I close here and I refer you to early to tell but some amusing anecdote of this stage of my profession.

Finally, to give an idea of what level should be the amount of equipment needed to take "a walk", the public photo of the "brochure" that we made long ago to advertise our initiative. The beauty is that everything is removable and lightweight, easily transportable usually in one, max 2 cars.

In the middle of the long line of equipment, there are three men ... I am the first, second Andrew, the third (sitting on the trunks) Paul ;-)

February Funny Clipart

... AND NOW THE ADVERTISING '... The most intense phase

First to resume the story, I wanted to make a brief digression, a break.

So far I have assumed that you immaginaste that my study (so I), despite the strong specialization in furniture, not just furniture and photographed / accessories in the world of mobile, but give things for granted is never right.

In fact, thanks to the fact that our area does not boast many studies, photographers around. Why "down" that we were more organized to meet any need, both in logistics / organization, both in terms of quality. This is because work in furniture, as I said, it means composing in a single shot dozens of still life and lets you know lots of materials and how to treat them. Wood, textiles, metals, polished surfaces, opaque and transparent, painted or natural objects and food ... everything. And dimensional level will not speak of ... if you have a truck can carry is huge microscopic objects, which with a florin not you can do. If you are organized to photograph huge environments, objects that are figured in one hand.

So over the years I've photographed from buttons to clothing to enormous scaffolding for repair shops, machines for tire and industrial shelving, hats and sweets, jewelry and clothing, bicycles and bottles of wine, music and complex machines gym ... just about anything, including (as I mentioned at the beginning), hospital equipment, but also ... well ... they are called them "coffins", I'd understand it better if I told you bare? In short, just about everything.

I'll tell you briefly a little story on their "coffins." We are contacted by a major manufacturer Tuscan asks that we give a proof. Here comes the question, do the photos, send to the client (the email does not even know what it was), so it spends a few days. The customer is satisfied with the work, there promises to send a dozen pieces and pick up the context are being tested. Not having a warehouse outside, there is the problem of where to hold it ... choose a corner as far as possible from the entrance and put it there. You know the effect of a black dot on a white sheet ... perfect, just that. Anyone who came in changed expression in his eyes staring faraway corner of the study and beats, rhymes and incantations drives were a must-bad luck :-))) We decide to put a black cloth ... we had not ever done. The effect was no longer at that point of view the simple object, but just to have died in the house to hide :-)))) removing the towel, letting the day, but we equipped to do so to each service was the permanence of the pieces each time as short as possible (the client had weekly deliveries in our area).

And I will tell you however that at the level of subject, is not at all easy to photograph, given the materials, shapes and finishes that have very fine, and that rightly should be brought out ... even if "the user final " certainly can never appreciate them!

played down :-))))

What Will Make My Nails Grow Faster

PRO ...

is usually said that the profession blunted passion. In my case that this was no exception, with a small but significant difference: the passion has died down, he changed direction. Do not hide the fact that the furniture (proper) was already a passion of mine, so I took a photograph of furniture altogether.

It 's a very special sector, imagine an empty platform, which slowly takes shape in a room made of raw particle board that are then plastered, painted and shaped according to the plans submitted by an architect as a rule. And what did you start this job by placing ceramic tiles or parquet floor, screwing panels, shaped windows and ceilings all know well Quesi steps. And I would follow as a surveyor on site.

Then come the editors of the customer following the design of the technical department began to assemble the furniture, and you know well at this stage because when the study was "poor" for customers on the other end of Italy did not send workers, you were to fit kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms ... and then supervise the installation, check that everything is better fitted if it were in the apartment of the consumer, because the photo to the quality of the furniture and the quality you see the details. One door that "bad beats", a view of the door is not homogeneous, not perpendicular to the foot of a table, a glass mounted on the contrary, a slightly crooked handle ... nothing can change this to tell the quality.

And after all this the real fun begins. You look at them and that studies the shape of the room, the combination of colors, materials: the glass, the wood, what kind of glass and wood type, how much metal? Gloss, satin or lacquer? And while arguing with the style and art buyers styling of objects that you will purchase and lease to furnish the environment, preparing the study should be finishing: paint scratched the inevitable adjustments in the assembly, some tile coating that is detached, the skirting and decorations if needed ... windows and doors are installed and everything is ready to turn the first light which is the most important, then what will drive everything.

And here, let me be a little 'blasphemer, you're the god of the situation at that moment you decide if it is night or if it is day, now, if it's sunny or cloudy ... nothing is denied to your imagination and if you have the confidence of the customer, you are free to do what you want. Why is the photographer of furniture for the customer, is a bit 'as a hairdresser for women share in the total mistrust because he thinks no one is able to make its product as good as he believed. If, however, proves that it's even more beautiful as he imagines it, you've conquered all my life. And unless you do not give them their big, forever will trust you, leave you and never let you do all my life ... more or less. Just like women with their hair ;-)))

And after the first light go with a battery of other devices of all powers and sizes, from 10,000 to 300 W (when working in continuous light) with panels of all the materials and all sizes. 1mx1m from polystyrene to huge walls of plywood large 2.5 5 meters high.

And while the art buyer sets up the scene, you follow with the light, highlighting the key areas that best describe the subject and she emphasizes creating compositions with the objects. A picture of furniture is a mix of many, sometimes dozens of still life.

scene in the end you may have also put twenty points of light of different powers and characteristics depending on the subject to be illuminated. And the skill is mix well in everything to make everything feel as lit by a single light source, as normally happens in our homes, maintaining an atmosphere that has to hit him and he wants the viewer to see that photo to make him want to come live there, in that it did not exist before 2 days and 1 day later, the exact opposite of how progression was born, no longer exist except in a "piece of plastic, a few years ago, an endless series of "numbers", increasingly today. All away and start over with a new design, new furniture, new items and new lights. This is what

1990 to 1999 was my "daily bread", always the same but always different, a different challenge every time, every time a problem to be solved only with your experience or to gain experience.

And 90 to 99, photo after photo, the study was losing members (Paul left, as he wished, a year later, Franco went in contrast to 94) but increased in equipment, facilities and employees: the Sinar's 13x18 90 was flanked by two sisters, the park went from 75 to 360 lenses with a focal range of 20mm as well double for working on multiple sets simultaneously, because in the meantime, other art-buyers to the aforementioned employee (accompanied as necessary by some free-lance) had also arrived 2 fitters role and an assistant, then the second picture, which is often added that Paul continued to work with us in times of greater commitment. And to cope with all this, the 10 light points of 90 was now more than 70 square meters and 500 were preparing to become the initial 800. This

in 99 when I left, a little 'jealous of the free time that Paul had (that I dreamed of going to the studio on average 12 hours a day, often on Saturdays and Sundays), I decided to follow him ... not only metaphorically , leaving the company but I also physically, starting to work with him during "Gypsy" of my profession who began the 1 / 1 / 99 and continues today ... but this is another story ... and I will tell it soon ;-)

Conan At A Wax Museum

How and when I became a "PRO" ...

was 88 and still working as a foreman in the company of spirits (easy I was the only technical)

I was infected with my "disease" 5 other employees and two of them, we woke up at 4 in the summer to go to a nearby pond (now become WWF) to photograph the birds from disease trasferitaci Renato.E 'thanks the photograph which I then discovered that there were only sparrows, canaries and rondini.No. There are also the bittern, the heron, the flamingo, and even wooded Piro Piro! I've got the evidence, I have fotografati.Un 'Oretta and a half of stalking with a 500 Russian duplicated, 800 ASA film (before become ISO), a self made fotofucile handle and then return to work.

In that year there was a revolution in business and one that until the time had been the head was Cocchetti silurato.Un bit 'for the friendship that bound us, a little' for a little revenge against the former head (without the technical), told me that in his round of job search through knowledge, was learned that a studio (which ignored the existence) was looking for a collaborator.

I think I went to talk that afternoon, never mind.

For the first time later in a real studio. It took a bit 'to understand that it is that, if not for the near-total darkness. Only 20 meters to the bottom of the shed there was a flash, with that on top of a ladder, stood under a black cloth, just like in the comic when they did the photos.

front of him, two huge panels (3,5 x2, 8 m, will find out later) on which the lights were fixed. I approach doing gymkhana among the myriad of things scattered on the road, including headlights, panels, counterweights and I look (like when you get to the hill and see the huge sea) to a gray background (limbo, call it what you want) with a 10x8mt a high back almost 5, on which Paul is the name of the photographer, was shooting (I think) a stretcher (yes, that one), one of about 100/120 pieces of hospital equipment that makes up the catalog commissioned by the customer.

not remember what we said we were with Franco (his partner, graphic designer / administrator), but I had already decided even before you go. I would take the job, whatever it was, just to be in a place where he did photography ... in any economic condition. And the condition was not slight: in my company at the time I took a good salary of £ 1,250,000 per month for 14 months, I went to take 800,000 ... do not know for what!

25 years, to realize a dream of yours would not hurt, though 25 years had I not already a child of 4, an unemployed wife, and if you're not going to do a job that friends and relatives did not even know existed: "Mobile photography? But it is a job? And pay them? And then? "And then? ... And then ... boh! Well .. not avoided with little effort before the lynching, then admission to neurodeliri at the end of time due to the old law firm (even there I do not say that the fight), began my career as a photographer and the dream of my life is about to come true.

First phase, knowledge of the tools of the trade: hammer, screwdriver, electric screwdriver, saw, roller and paint brushes, brooms and rags and of course in quantity :-))) Yes, they needed a body builder and, as the study was active for a year but growing, I might need to start putting a hand camera and lights.

Luckily this occurred in a short time and after 4 / 5 months affiancai Paul practically full time in photography, because in the meantime had been hired a bodybuilder "true" for the exhibition stands. But after 7 / 8 months of photography, there was a period of stalemate and study, so young, could not afford to keep two employees, then the carpenter was paid and I will therefore envisaged that a demotion at that point I did not accept. I saw it as a stop to my growth, thanks to my passion, was swift and effective at the time.

came to my rescue the second happy coincidence of the period: a study by (I did not know that there was one, however there were two) and arch-rival (the two former owners were members) opened a "branch" in another county and the historical study photographer who was without practical reasons for switching to the new. They called me and made me a proposal benefits both an economic and, more importantly, for professional growth. I accepted with the same speed (and unconscious) of the first time. More unconsciousness because really I was not ready to carry on alone pose a room of this size and importance of that ... but I had and I wanted to go on, I took my responsibilities and I accepted. The agreements were investment property for further growth over time of the room installation, which was moving into a new house.

I stayed there a year and I think that was the key year for my growth, because Paul had more behind that in the face of difficulty (and furnishings there are every 12 minutes) could give me some advice to overcome it. No, I was on my own.

In that year I worked very hard, every day till you drop to get a result up to what was expected of me at every photo. I was also 14 hours in the studio to work, study, understand, experience and I matured in this period (despite the broken promises of investment in equipment) my own style that was successful (the work running, voices as well), so that after just one year, are pulled from my "old" studio.

I do "an offer he can not refuse": salary almost double, 10% of shares and almost got the role of photographer, first within a year, since Paul has decided to break away from studying and working as a freelance.

was the 90's ... there is still time to 2005 ... I would say that for now we can stop here. Ah, you need to tell you that of course I accepted? No, right?

See you in a bit '... as partners ... and the fun begins.

Since I have no photos of birds (all in "plasticoni") nor the time to equip, I put the picture of a whole set (even if very simple and recent) and for those who had not ever seen, I put a picture where we see that those were the "file" ... era slides 6x7, 6x9, 10x12 and 13x18 cm.

Then, I want to spoil, 3 Polaroid (10x12 cm) that I portray in the tests lights for the few services of a "soul" that we've done.

Yes, I was born with hair as well I
